Boudicca is an epic biography about the historical Celtic Queen Boudicca (circa 61 CE). After the death of her husband, Boudicca’s land is seized by the Romans, she is flogged, and her daughters raped. She retaliates by waging all-out war on the Romans, eventually conquering and expelling them from Londinium (ancient London) and burning it to the ground. Boudicca is intended to be a modern, #MeToo answer to graphic novels such as Frank Miller’s 300 or a companion piece to works such as Eric Shanower’s historical Age of Bronze series.
